World of Warcraft Strategy Guide

World of Warcraft Strategy Guide

Hello Gamers,

I have been a World of Warcraft player since 2005 and because of that I consider myself a very experienced and quite talented player. I know it can be hard to find good WoW Strategy guides and sometimes its hard to find what your looking for. So to help those of you looking for a good WoW strategy guide, I have created this regularly updated World of Warcraft strategy guide site.

Just in case your not all that experienced with the World of Warcraft AkA WoW, I will give you a very quick overview of what its all about.

World of Warcraft is the biggest MMORPG (Massively Multi player Online  Role-Playing Game) ever created. This game was released on November 23, 2004, it takes place 4 years after Warcraft III left off, and is based inside the world of Azeroth.

There are 10 playable character classes that you can choose from, each class having its own unique set of talents and abilities as well as its own strengths and weaknesses. The class you choose will determine your main role in the World of Warcraft so choose wisely. The 10 WoW character classes are:

  • Death Knight (Wrath of The Lich King expansion)
  • Druid
  • Hunter
  • Mage
  • Paladin
  • Priest
  • Rogue
  • Shaman
  • Warlock
  • Warrior

Classes can be built for DPS, tanking, support, or a combination of the 3. Some classes are more useful then others. The Priest for example is one of the most sought after classes when it comes to groups and that's because the priest can keep the rest of the group alive with healing powers. Now if that Priest is alone then he is as good as dead.

As part of commonly used World Of Warcraft strategy it is recommended that you choose a profession that fits your chosen class. You are allowed to choose two professions and those professions can earn you money as well as save you some of your own.

Professions are separated into two categories:

1. Primary Professions:

Gathering: Skinning, Mining, and Herbalism

Crafting: Blacksmithing, Tailoring, Leatherworking, Alchemy,  Enchanting, Engineering, Jewelcrafting, and Inscription.

2. Secondary Professions - Cooking, Fishing and First Aid. Rogue class also has two unique professions of its own which are Lock Picking and Poisons.

It is recommended that you choose a profession that fits your class. For example a Hunter might find leatherworking and skinning to be an effective combination. A Warrior on the other hand might prefer mining and blacksmithing. Blacksmithing would be pointless for a Hunter since they can only wear leather.

That was just a quick overview to the left you will find more detailed World of Warcraft strategy guides on each of the World of Warcraft character classes and professions as well as other guides for leveling, getting gold, etc.

If you can would like a specific World of Warcraft strategy guide that's not already on this site then feel free to send your request to Jack @ WoWMastering.com and tell me what you would like me to add.
