WoW First Aid Guide

Ultimate WoW Guide

First Aid is a secondary profession that you can have on top of your main professions. Everyone should really train even if you are a healer.  It can be a life saver to have bandages on you when you run out of mana.  If you decide to level first aid as you level your character, you can use the drops of cloth that you can get off of the mobs that you kill.  First aid also gives you the ability to cure poison and heal friendly players in a group.  If you are at a higher level, you can simply spend some gold and quickly level your first aid from purchase in the auction house. This WoW First Aid Guide will help you to power level your first aid quickly.

First, you will need to train the skill for first aid. Below is the list of first aid trainers for both Horde and Alliance.

* Anchorite Fateema: (Alliance - Azuremyst Isle)

* Byancie: (Alliance – Teldrassil)

* Dannelor: (Alliance - Darnassus)

* Nus: (Alliance - The Exodar)

* Nissa Firestone: (Alliance - Ironforge)

* Shaina Fuller: (Alliance - Stormwind)

* Master First Aid: (Alliance - Temple of Telhamat)

* Brynna Wilson: (Alliance - Borean Tundra)

* Anchorite Yazmina: (Alliance - Howling Fjord)

* Olisarra the Kind: (Alliance - Dalaran)

* Alestus: (Horde - Silvermoon City)

* Arnok (Orgrimmar)

* Mary Edras: (Undercity)

* Pand Stonebinder: (Thunder Bluff)

* Master First Aid: (Horde - Falcon Watch)

* Nurse Applewood: (Horde - Borean Tundra)

* Sally Tompkins: (Horde - Howling Fjord)

* Olisarra the Kind: (Horde - Dalaran)

After you have trained, leveling is simple and mostly takes plenty of gold to purchase the materials to quickly level. Below is the approximate list of materials you will need to quickly level first aid.  All these can be found in the auction house.

WoW First Aid Guide Materials:

* 150 x Linen Cloth

* 125 x Wool Cloth

* 140 x Silk Cloth

* 90 x Mageweave Cloth

* 70 x Runecloth.

The above list is if you have plenty of gold and you are a level 40 or above. If you are a lower level, you can find these as drops off of various humanoid mobs.  For each skill level, use the materials until they turn green or they are at least 5-10 skill level into each new type of bandage you can make.  For each new bandage, you will need to see one of the trainers listed. You can find the auction house and the first aid trainer in any major city, so they are not far away.

For each level material (listed in order above) continue to create bandages.  Once your skill level reaches a point where the bandage skill level is about 5-10 skill levels into being green, train for the next bandage and start leveling from there.

Once you reach 125, you will need to purchase a book.  The book can be found from these two non player characters or you can usually find someone selling them in the auction house for an increased price.  The two places to buy the books are:

* Expert First Aid Book (Horde - Brackenwall Village)

* Expert First Aid Book (Alliance - Stromgarde)

Once you buy the books, you can go back to leveling until you reach level 225.  You also need to be at least level 35 to receive the quest.  There is a tiny quest for both Horde and Alliance where you need to heal patients in a room.  The quest giver will provide you with the bandages, and if you have a nice friend who also needs the quest, any leftover bandages can be used to help you.  The trick to the triage quest is to stand in a position so that you need to simply pivot instead of run around the room making sure the worst harmed patients are healed the quickest.  The quest givers for each first aid skill past 225 are the following.

* Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen (Alliance – Theramore Island)

* Doctor Gregory Victor (Horde – Hammerfall)

Once you pass the quest, you can level until you reach 300.  After reaching 300 you can find the first aid trainer from the list above for Horde and Alliance in Hellfire Peninsula which is the starting area for the Burning Crusades.  This will give you a skill to 375.

With the new Wrath of the Lich King expansion pack, you need to train at one of the new expansion packs trainers with one of the nonplaying characters also listed above. If you are leveling to 80, you can find the materials needed from mobs. Otherwise, you can buy the materials from the auction house.

Incidentally, the bandages you make while leveling up can be sold in the auction house. Some of them sell while others will not. At the very least you can use them with alts.
